How does sleep hypnosis work?

These audio hypnosis sessions are designed to help you relax as you go to sleep by focusing your mind on more peaceful and relaxing images. As the audios progress, you are gradually introduced to positive suggestions that will be absorbed unconsciously to help you improve the quality of sleep once you fall asleep and to help you fall asleep more readily in the future.

These tracks can be used in two ways and so, for this purpose, there are two nearly identical versions, differing only in their endings. While the ‘Wake’ audio track has an ending that aims to leave you in a state of wakefulness, the ‘Sleep’ audio track has an ending that promotes falling asleep.

The ‘Wake’ version is generally more effective in promoting long-term change because the listener is able to take on board all the suggestions that it contains, right up to the very end, whereas the ‘Sleep’ track is useful to lull the listener to sleep, the later suggestions are less likely to be absorbed.

I suggest listening to the Wake version during waking hours each day for about three weeks or so to allow the suggestions to be fully absorbed by your unconscious mind.

Listen to the Sleep version after you have turned off the light and are ready to fall asleep.

Of course, as for all hypnosis, if you are under the care of a mental health or similar professional, seek their advice before listening to this audio.
